About the job


As a facilities management officer, you’ll ensure we keep working, maintaining the efficient and effective running of our working environment acting as a representative for Estates and Building Services.

Your Role


There are currently 6 other FM officers along with 1 Project officer who deals with energy usage and 1 Admin officer. You’ll work collaboratively, to oversee the provision of Facilities Management services that ensure the Councils buildings are high performing facilities and workplaces.

Your work will include carrying out regulatory inspections, dealing with complaints, conducting office moves and dealing with health and safety matters amongst other tasks. Attending a wide range of different meetings from weekly team meetings to focusing on specific projects, dealing directly with any staff member (from directors to front line staff), contractors, and some 3rd party occupants.


What you’ll need


You’ll be experienced in facilities management / property management, including small building works, scheduling repair, and building maintenance. Being able to carry out inspections of office buildings, understanding critical property issues and arranging remedial works. Paying particular attention to health and safety issues within a property environment.
