Job Purpose

To undertake the full range of specialist environmental health duties within the Public Health team.
To assist in the efficient, effective, and economic discharge of the Council’s policies and statutory duties.

Service areas covered by the post include:

• Food Safety.
• Food Standards.
• Communicable Disease Control
• Health and Safety enforcement of commercial businesses including regulation of tattooists, other special procedures and petroleum licensing.
• Public Health Funerals.
• Planning / ESAG advice.
• Private Water Supplies.
• Safety of Sports Grounds Licensing.

All new applicants are required to complete a 10 hour online Welsh Work Course. You will need to complete parts 1 and 2 of the course and must be able to evidence this prior to starting work with the Authority.
