How you will make Plan Zero happen

  • You will help our clients on their net zero journey, advising how they manage their buildings
  • You will enable our customers to reduce their energy consumption without the reliance on capital expenditure
  • You will have a keen eye for detail, be skilled at analysing data and understand the technical aspects of asset performance to reduce wastage and identify low/no cost solutions to drive down carbon emissions
  • You will interface with Mitie customers to guide them on their journey

Job Description


What will you do day to day?

  • You will be delivering Air Conditioning Energy Assessments to TM44 2012 requirements, using the ACE Wizard online platform and lodging using Sterling Accreditation E-volve platform;
  • Developing in your role over time to be able to deliver a wider range of compliance and consultancy solutions in the energy and sustainability sector;
  • Taking responsibility for the delivery of client compliance - thinking about how your approach to your role affects the Mitie customer, and delivering your best work everyday;
  • Seeing the bigger picture and understanding that Mitie is able to use the outputs from the compliance work it delivers tactically, to help deliver Plan Zero strategies for its customers;
  • Participating in monthly review meetings to discuss and track team performance and continuous improvement in our delivery;
  • Understanding and completing all work-related documentation accurately and on time;
  • Carrying out work in a safe and diligent manner; complying with all Health and Safety policies and procedures;
  • Maintaining the security and confidential status of all information so designated and to conduct all activities with a professional approach;
  • Understanding and complying with wider policies and procedures; and
  • Attending and participating in training and appraisal activities to help you to perform and develop in your career with Mitie.

Who will you work with?

  • You will work within an effective, dedicated and experienced team of energy assessors and consultants who deliver a high-quality range of professional sustainability consulting and compliance services to Mitie customers;
  • You will work with the energy focussed operational teams to ensure the application of appropriate energy products, services and approaches; and,
  • Work with others to assist in development of energy services knowledge skills throughout MITIE.

Qualifications


Qualifications

Possession of a current TM44 accreditation

Experience & Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous air conditioning inspection assessment expertise in the sector, with a proven track record;
  • Be able to conduct the physical inspection of air conditioning equipment to a high quality according to the industry standard set by CIBSE TM44;
  • Background and experience in a similar services type environment;
  • Be willing to undertake training both internal and external to the company;
  • Computer literate, and familiar with Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Possess good report writing skills;
  • Excellent customer relationship skills and dedicated customer focus;
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills;
  • Good working knowledge of the energy market and key market influences (e.g. government legislation, corporate social responsibility, etc) within the UK and overseas as appropriate;
  • Clear understanding of Mitie services offering;
  • Full driving licence.
  • The ability to develop new prospects and opportunities with existing customers;
  • Be prepared to spend some time away from home overnight and having a flexible approach to working; and,
  • Have a strong desire to work closely with colleagues and customers in delivering excellence and building your career in an outstanding team.
