Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman / Foreperson to join our team for a major infrastructure project based in Banbury. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing electrical installations and ensuring adherence to safety standards, project timelines, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate electrical installation activities on:site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Supervise a team of electricians and subcontractors, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise as required.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement work schedules, resource plans, and strategies to meet project objectives.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess work progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of work activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and material usage.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement among the project team, promoting best practices and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong background in mechanical and electrical (M and E) installations, including knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem:solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues in a fast:paced environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
