Catalent require an EH&S Advisor to join the team at our expanding Swindon manufacturing facility. The role of EH&S Advisor provides an excellent opportunity for a passionate EH&S individual looking to gain further experience by joining a growing organization that maintains a safety first belief for all our people .

Our Swindon facility houses our Zydis® fast dissolving tablet development and manufacturing. The Zydis® ODT (orally dissolving tablet) fast-dissolve formulation, is a unique, freeze-dried oral solid dosage form that disperses almost instantly in the mouth – no water required. With more than 20 products launched in 60 countries, it continues to be the world’s best-in-class ODT technology. The site is 253,314 ft2 with approximately 700 employees.

The Role

  • Ensure effective environmental, health, safety and security processes are in place and implemented through the organisation, providing a day to day advisory role
  • Provide competent advice to line management on EH&S issues (incidents, investigations, risk assessments, procedures employee concerns, emergency preparedness and changes affecting EH&S), as well as related compliance issues (insurance, controlled drugs, business continuity, waste, occupational health)
  • Support managers to ensure all significant risks are covered by a suitable and sufficient risk assessment process (COSHH, manual handling and ergonomic).
  • Ensure EH&S training (including inductions) are provided monitored, recorded and delivered internally
  • Co-ordinate the reporting and investigation of accidents, injuries, dangerous occurrences, near misses and work-related ill health
  • Oversee/participate in workplace EH&S audits and inspections
  • Monitor and follow up EH&S actions and prepare monthly performance metrics
  • Co-ordinate EH&S committee meetings and maintain records
  • Provide leadership and contribute to the successful implementation of the EHS management programmes, aiming to reduce losses to the business and employees

The Person

Excellent communication skills

Strong stakeholder management skills

GMP experience highly desirable

Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical industry experience desirable

NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications advantageous
