Catalent require a Site Procurement Manager to join the Swindon manufacturing facility. The position is responsible functionally for strategic direct, indirect and capex procurement across the Swindon site and with oversight of the Dartford site. Partnering with the Global Category leadership, this includes the development and execution of strategic initiatives that involve material cost out, indirect products and services, vendor management, payment terms, eSourcing, negotiations, contracting, dual sourcing and New Product Introductions to achieve and support the goals and objectives as established by Global Procurement, Site Operations, Key functions and the Zydis business.

The job:

• Leadership, engagement and development of two direct reports
• Partners with Category leadership to develop and execute strategies for the categories that he/she participates in or leads, globally or regionally that creates value to Catalent and meets customers’ expectations.
• Supports global procurement initiatives as well as leads site-level initiatives for supplier management, supplier quality & supplier performance improvement.
• Financial Accountability
• Performs full risk assessment of the supply base and develops mitigation and management plan.
• Partner with engineering and Global Capex Category Management for RFP, supplier selection, negotiation and contract execution.
• Through a collaborative team coordinates and drives RFP’s / RFI’s process for regional and global initiatives. Invites suppliers to provide solutions and cost proposals for Catalent business requirements, evaluates proposals, makes supplier recommendations, selects suppliers, awards business, and handles contracts for key stakeholders.
• Leverages and negotiates pricing on combined volumes of purchases at various locations with industry leading suppliers to reduce the cost of goods and overheads. Prioritizes savings opportunities and takes a unified approach with our various purchasing locations globally or regionally to meet with the potential suppliers and get the lowest possible total cost to deliver cost savings.
• Provide regular value contribution reporting to the Site Leadership Team with regards to site and the organization.
• Provides spend, savings & value contribution reporting, actual v target on a monthly basis
• Partner with Finance to define and implement a PPV process. Communicate price changes and / or discrepancies and determine financial impact.
• Optimizes cash by extending supplier payment terms and/or negotiating term discounts.
• Optimizes the supply base through consolidation.
• Increases spend under contract. Negotiates supply agreements with vendors improving commercial conditions.
• Responsible for the Procurement controllership on site.
• Responsible for ensuring the supplier adheres to the Terms & Conditions specified on the purchase order and resolves challenges, for implementing the Procurement guidelines on site and contributing to its local deployment.
• Complies with and follows all procedures within the company Security, EHS and Global Trade policies.

The candidate:

• BA/BS in Business, Finance, Engineering, Purchasing or other Operations related field, Graduate Degree in Business Preferred or equivalent experience.
• CIPS/MCIPS or Supply Chain Management qualification
• Global Procurement experience preferred but not essential.
• JD Edwards experience - Desirable
• Global Operations, finance and matrix management experience preferred but not essential.
