Catalent Pharma Solutionsare looking to recruit an Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Advisorto join our EHS team in Bathgate.

The role will focus on improving a range of areas within the EHS processes and there would be the opportunity to implement considerable change.

The Role

  • Provide competent technical advice and coaching to site colleagues on EH&S in accordance with Company policies, regulations and legislative requirements

  • Support managers to ensure all significant risks are covered by a suitable and sufficient risk assessment

  • Create and approve EH&S SOP’s within the site document system compliant against ISO 45001

  • Develop and implement improved processes and initiatives

  • In collaboration with the Training Department ensure EH&S training (including induction) is provided, monitored and recorded

  • Co-ordinate the reporting and investigation of accidents, injuries, dangerous occurrences, near misses and work-related ill health

  • Oversee/participate in workplace EH&S audits and inspections

  • Co-ordinate and present at EH&S committee meetings including analysis of incident information and learnings

  • Prepare weekly EH&S scorecard and monthly/quarterly/annual safety reports

  • Provide leadership and contribute to the successful implementation of the EH&S management programmes, aiming to reduce losses to the business and employees

  • Participate in Global EH&S activities

The Candidate

  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience in EH&S with ability to assess situations quickly and react with a compliant solution

  • Excellent communication and IT skills including proficient use of Microsoft Office Applications

  • Be able to work effectively and efficiently both within a team and independently with enthusiasm and drive

  • Strong attention to detail in report writing and execution of documentation

  • Trained in Risk Assessments including General, COSHH and Work Equipment

  • A recognized EH&S qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH is preferred (relevant other experience will be considered)

  • Experience in Behavioural Safety would be an advantage
