EC & I Senior Project Engineer

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum with earning up to £63,250 based on performance, with company car or car allowance and Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday, days.

Location: Hybrid working with home working and office based work in Rugby, CV23 9HH. With extensive national travel.

What will you be doing?

You will be providing expertise in Project management for Control related projects with the ability to undertake engineering roles within the project, to deliver key Electrical Control & Instrumentation projects to agreed scope, within budget and on time
  • Project Manage and deliver EC&I projects to timeframe, budget and scope including completing standard documentation in line with the TDE EC&I suite of documentation.
  • Undertake efficient coordination of subcontractor works associated with EC&I projects
  • Technical understanding of control systems - eg, Pressure, Temperature, Flow; Flow computers; VSDs; Stand-a-lone PID controllers (PID tuning of stand-alone & PLC control loops); 3rd party interfaces; control valves.
  • Technical understanding of control system networks including Ethernet and Ethernet I/P, Modbus, Profibus, Devicenet, Radio.
  • Pro-active engagement with project sponsors to ensure process parameters and success factors are shared understood and agreed upon
  • Manage relationships with contractors to focus on efficient project delivery while promoting H&S culture.
  • Manage internal and external human resources for the assigned projects.
  • Project Management through the development, construction, commissioning and handover phases
  • Lead the project acceptance process to ensure that the plant meets the predetermined resilience and performance criteria.
  • Be an ambassador of Veolia’s H&S culture;
What are we looking for?
  • It is essential you have a Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering (or related subject)
  • You must have extensive Project Management experience in a similar role
  • It is desirable you have experience of ICONICS
  • Experience of Allen Bradley PLC systems would be beneficial
  • It is preferred that you have experience with cloud-based systems
