Job Title:Business Manager

Salary:Competitive plus bonus, company car/car allowance, and pension.

Location:Lincoln

Hours:Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

As a Business Manager at Veolia, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Commercial Collections Business Unit to ensure the effective and safe organisation of work processes whilst delivering services to maximum operational efficiency.

What will you be doing?
  • You will be responsible for all operational aspects of our Lincoln Commercial Depot and Grantham Transfer Station including budgets and finance.
  • You will be responsible for the P&L, operating within budgeted guidelines to ensure the depot operates efficiently and effectively to produce maximum Net Revenue returns, and maximum EBITDA.
  • Ensuring that Health & Safety remains at the forefront within the depot and to enable the Group H&S KPIs to be met.
  • Ensuring that all aspects of Fleet Compliance Policies, associated KPIs and all regulatory obligations are adhered to within the Depot.
  • To ensure that VES (Veolia Environmental Services) as a group, can comply with the company’s operators licensing obligations.
  • Responsible for up to 2,000 external customers that are serviced from the Depot (in conjunction with Account Managers and Account Executives).
  • Ensuring service levels remain in line with customer expectations to develop and maintain good quality customer relations with customers and prospective customers.
  • Supervision and development of all Staff / Operatives (currently 45) to maintain engagement, good attendance and job completion within time constraints.
  • Implement and maintain compliance of all company policies and procedures and any changes to regulatory acts.
What are we looking for?
  • Desirable - CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) in National Road Haulage and IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) Managing Safely.
  • Education to A-level standard.
  • Health & Safety Awareness.
  • Previous experience within a Transport or Waste background.
  • Previous experience managing people.
  • Good accounting understanding in P&L, Budgets and finance.
