Training Works is an ambitious independent training provider, specialising in the delivery of training to the care sector - both adult and child. We aim to provide a responsive, quality service to all our customers.

Our main programme of delivery is Apprenticeships, primarily to Non-Levy employers via Digital Accounts.

We are experiencing significant growth and are seeking qualified personnel to join our delivery teams.

Main Aim

To manage a caseload of Level 2 & 3 Early Years Apprentices, providing professional teaching, guidance & support to ensure that each Apprentice receives a quality learning experience, achieving their learning goals in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

· Onboard / Enrol new Apprentices within prescribed timescales and following prescribed systems & processes;

· Plan, prepare & deliver individualised teaching activity for each Apprentice;

· Provide each Apprentice with an individualised Curriculum Plan, with teaching underpinning the delivery and achievement of each Apprentice’s aims, objectives & targets;

· Ensure that the delivery of the Apprenticeship fully meets ESFA criteria e.g. Off-the-Job training; teaching & learning;

· Pre-arrange meetings with Apprentices & employers every 4 weeks to discuss progress, achievement, Functional Skills progress, End Point Assessment etc;

· Carry out a formal review of progress with each Apprentice every 8 weeks, to include employer participation;

· Ensure that all Apprentices are fully prepared for End Point Assessment (EPA);

· Ensure that Safeguarding; Prevent; Equality, Diversity & Inclusion; Health & Safety is discussed and embedded in all discussions with Apprentice’s, with actions identified and escalated as appropriate;

· Ensure that all documentation is fully compliant and completed within prescribed timescales;

· Ensure that all documentation / reports are completed in a comprehensive timely manner, with quality underpinning the process;

· Actively participate in quarterly Quality Reviews, progressing actions promptly;

· Meet with Curriculum Lead every month to discuss personal aims / objectives / targets; progress of Apprentices within caseload;

· Actively participate in: Standardisation meetings; Sector Led Team meetings; All Staff meetings; IQA Team meetings;

· Liaise directly with Line Manager, Admin, Business Development, Quality, Compliance on any issue impacting upon the timely achievement of individual Apprentices;

· To keep abreast of developments within the Apprenticeship sector, embracing and incorporating developments into work practices;

· Take responsibility for keeping abreast of developments within the Early Years Sector, ensuring professional competence is maintained to the highest level;

· Maintain at least Grade 2 in all Observations of Teaching & Learning (OTL);

· Identify additional business opportunities through discussion with linked employers, progression of Apprentices to a higher award;

- Respect all COVID-19 instructions at work and on employer premises;

· Undertake any other duties as may be identified by line management.

This post covers the Cumbria region, but is based from home.

All Trainers are required to hold

Essential:

· Level 3 (minimum) qualification within the professional sector

· At least 2 years employment history within the appropriate professional sector

· Relevant teaching award;

· Relevant assessors award;

· Functional Skills (Maths, English & ICT) award at Level 2 or above;

· Previous experience of delivering Level 2 & 3 Apprenticeships;

· Excellent IT skills – Microsoft Word, Excel;

· Driving licence & access to a vehicle.

Desirable:

· IQA award;

Level 5 qualified
