As the Home Port Operations Duty Manager your primary purpose in this role will be to effectively plan and manage guest turnarounds, associated transfers and check-in arrangements of P&O Cruises and Cunard vessels for all Southampton turnarounds as well as all turnaround ports worldwide.

As the Home Port Operations Duty Manager on a 6 month FTCyour primary purpose in this role will be to effectively plan and manage guest turnarounds, associated transfers and check-in arrangements of P&O Cruises and Cunard vessels for all Southampton turnarounds as well as all turnaround ports worldwide.
As the Home Port Operations Duty Manager you will have responsibility for:
- Planning and executing delivery of Port Agency and husbandry services in the port of Southampton.
- Acting as Port Agents as well as managing effective turnarounds/transit calls for our sister brands Princess, Holland America, Seabourn, Costa & Aida and any other Carnival Corp brand as required in Southampton ensuring all H&S requirements are met
- Terminal Safety Management function across all SOU berths
- Travel to support remote turnaround operations
In addition you will at each turnaround have overall responsibility for all Terminal activity including check-in, security flows and quayside safety alongside preparing budget projections for all turnaround ports ensuring related costs and received and processed within set and agreed timeframes.
You will ensure that required KPI’s are met and thus delivering the best guest experience while highlighting any inefficiencies to the Manager, Port Operation
About You
To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable with communicating with all levels of the shore and ship teams. Being organised with the ability to work using your own initiative and under pressure to tight timescales is essential. You will also need to be an effective planner and able to adapt arrangements to suit changing circumstances on the day of a call.
You will be willing to share knowledge with others in the organisation and be passionate about Customer Service, operational quality, product innovation and value management.
You will be comfortable with working outside normal office hours, at weekends and outside in all seasons.A full driving licence is essential.
