We are looking to recruit a Distribution Centre Team Leaderreporting to the Warehouse Management Team.

Typical Responsibilities Will Include
  • You will responsible for managing a team of 5 – 11 direct reports.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the highest level of quality is maintained throughout the production process, through compliance with relevant Food Safety legislation, standards and requirements.
  • Ensuring Warehouse Operatives working within the warehouse are equipped to understand and comply with Health & Safety and Food Quality requirements; including safe working practices and procedures.
  • Ensuring efficient operations through correct planning of staffing levels (accounting for holiday and absence cover), resources, and availability of materials.
  • To ensure Standard Operating Procedures are followed at all times to provide the required consistency.
  • Following the ‘Clean as You Go’ policy at all times, to ensure that the department is operating to the highest standards of hygiene.
  • Ensure the highest level of service to our customers by coordinating the logistical elements of getting our pet food to our customers.
  • Identifying training needs of operatives under your supervision and liaise with the warehousing manager to deliver training, give guidance and coaching to ensure that warehouse operatives are able to deliver against the requirements of their role.
  • Maintaining training matrices and manuals for the key tasks required for each role in the department.
  • Monitoring employee absence /lateness and communicating with the warehouse manager for any actions required
  • Undertaking any other duties as may be required within the general scope of the role.

  • Previous management / team leader experience.
What are we Offering?

Salary: £12.22 per hour

Hours: 48 hours per week, Permanent Day Shift: Mon - Saturday

Pension Scheme: NEST pension scheme 5%EE/3%ER contributions

Holidays: 25 days (Pro Rata) + Bank Holidays
