Typical Responsibilities Will Include
  • As a Packing Machine Operator, you will be based in the packing department of the factory - it’s a fast-moving manufacturing environment so you must be comfortable with working in a dynamic and often high-pressure environments.
  • You will be trained on how to set up and run a variety of packing lines, respond to machine stoppages, identify and correct issues where possible or escalate to the engineering team if required.
  • You will also replenish components to ensure continuous production is maintained.
  • Perform various quality checks such as metal detection, barcodes and best before dates.
  • In addition to that, your role will include operating a forklift truck, all the training will be provided.
  • You will be the machine owner and be responsible for driving OEE and co-ordinate stakeholders to ensure that you receive the service you require to keep the machine running to a high standard.
  • When you join us you will go through our structured induction and training programme, your training will continue as you progress in the role.
  • As your skill set grows, you will have an opportunity to increase your salary within your first 6 months of starting with the Company.

Essential Ingredients
  • We are looking for hard-working and motivated people who would love to grow with the business and learn the art of manufacturing.
  • You should have GCSE or equivalent, grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • It’s great if you have previous production or factory experience, but we will also consider people with different work experience as long as you are committed and have a desire to work in manufacturing.
  • You must be comfortable with working rotational shift patterns

What are we Offering?

Salary: £9.29 per hour starting pay plus shift pay £3 per day / £12 per night.

Hours:48 hours per week – Rotational shift pattern of 6am-6pm/6pm-6am Mon-Thurs

Pension Scheme: NEST pension scheme Employee contributions 3% / Employer contribution 5%

Holidays: 25 days (Pro Rata) + Bank Holidays
