Position summary:

The Director, Sales Effectiveness is responsible for supporting our regional Commercial organization in EMEA by improving the productivity, efficiency and performance of the regional sales teams through data, analytics, and systems improvement. The individual will support a region focused on developing and delivering valuable data and best practices for revenue growth and the overall health of the business. The person will also align cross-functionally with other business leaders domestically.

Essential job responsibilities:
  • As an embedded global member of the regional team, work within the respective region to assist with regional goals and global alignment
  • Review and bolster existing metrics for determining territory and sales effectiveness
  • Develop best practices around use of existing tools, systems and processes to demonstrate correlation between use and results
  • Internal and external benchmarking to define gaps and areas of opportunity
  • Determine what user data needs to be input regularly and updated by the sales team to achieve sales leadership goals - i.e. pre and post call logs, reach and frequency, target capture, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with sales leadership and Training & Development to evolve current practices and support change management
  • Act as a key member of the Global Sales Effectiveness team supporting the team leader to align systems and processes both domestically and internationally
  • Support strategic and tactical department development needs and requirements as defined by the business, facilitating revenue growth and driving system adoption
  • Effectively partner with regional functional leads in IT, Sales, Marketing, Training & Development, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain/Logistics, and elsewhere as required
  • Identify potential bottlenecks or delays in initiatives, define solutions and drive efforts to ensure deliverables stay on schedule
  • Coordinate with appropriate inter-departmental and support staff personnel
  • Develop new and improve existing departmental processes to streamline workflow and optimize results
  • Independently develop clear and well-defined plans, driving strategy into actions and delivering measurable results.
  • Regularly prepare and present reports, updates and analysis in formal meetings with stakeholders and leadership
  • Manage appropriate budgets and build business cases for additional departmental resources
  • Provides leadership to managers and professional associates to a high performing organization
  • Responsible for setting a precedent for upholding the company culture and values to managers and employees
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum requirements:

Knowledge and skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience or Master’s/Doctoral degree with 12+ years of experience AND 4+ years leading people
  • Experience working with a commercial organization
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, Einstein Analytics, Microsoft Office, SAP BI, Power BI and other like platforms
  • Prior field sales experience with firsthand use of analytics to improve outcomes
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal direction
  • Highly analytical thought process, strong attention to detail and an ability to set and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a growing company
  • Demonstrated analytical skills in deriving insights from data and predictive data modeling Ability to translate complex analytical data into an easily understandable format
  • Results-oriented, highly energetic, dynamic individual with a hands-on mentality
  • Ability to think creatively, developing new ideas and forward-thinking solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, group dynamic and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation, and collaboration skills
  • Articulate, organized, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, extremely fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop and support an attitude of strong and effective teamwork across all departments
  • Cross functional leadership skills to effectively organize teams to produce portfolio deliverables
  • Formal project management training is a plus
  • Experience with DBS tools and processes, or with related six-sigma/process management systems

  • Ability to travel – domestic and international up to 25% of time.
