You will understand the overall customer journey to ensure we are giving seamless experiences across all product types, touchpoints, channels. Be part of a small, hard-working team, focusing effort on the products and experiences that will have the biggest impact on revenue, engagement, and NPS.

In this role you will need to have a forensic understanding of customer and data insight, the ability to shape, define and deliver a product from scratch - and influence collaborators to get buy in to deliver a best in class digital product. You’ll use a cross-team matrix working to develop and deliver business requirements, journey optimisation and experience improvements, and use Agile delivery methods and industry-standard tools to identify improvements and opportunities and then measure the outcomes and benefits

Day to Day

Some of your key responsibilities as our Digital Product Owner will be:

Requirements Elicitation & Backlog Management

  • Gather and Validate requirements from key collaborators across the organisation, to ensure every need is gathered and translated into Epics, Features and ultimately User Stories that can be understood by developers.

User Experience and Customer Research

  • Work with UX researchers to gain a deep knowledge of customer drivers and behaviour. Work with collaborators to find a balance between customer requirements and business requirements so that both needs are met through the product.

Digital Product Development

  • Digital development for mobile-first websites serving a sophisticated product and customer lifecycle (given VA as an airline and holiday operator) and creating valuable experiences that customers love to use.
  • Working collaboratively with design and delivery management teams to jointly share learning, push standards and seek innovation, ensuring the product roadmap is flawlessly implemented, and we delight our customers through every digital touchpoint.

Test, Measure, Learn with Key Performance Indicators

  • Ensure performance is being tracked through multiple lenses. Be able to monitor performance against a set of important metrics and take corrective action should the product not be performing.

Stakeholder management in a resource constrained environment

  • Form strong working relationships with a wide range of collaborators, processing a variety of inputs and ideas, suggesting a path through, and getting consensus through data, evidence, diplomacy, and in time a track record of value delivery.

Alongside the above we’d love you see the following skills for your application to be successful:

  • Excellent digital/technology experience in a related role
  • Working in cross-functional teams and matrix’s to build, shape, optimise and deliver digital products
  • Delivery methods in Agile and confidence in running ceremonies
  • Using technologies such as Azure DevOps / Jira, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Content Square, Foresee (or other similar tools and platforms)
  • Excellent relationship management, easily able to form effective cross-team working relationships
