We are looking for a Digital Product Manager to come and help us deliver world class digital experiences that our customers expect from Virgin Atlantic.

This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for all things product and digital, who understands how to get meaningful change done.

You’ll have a bias for action combined with data driven and judgement led approach, being able to zoom out to define a big-picture strategy and zoom in to execute, iterate, and get results. If you’re still reading and excited, then this is definitely a role for you!

With the ability to process and synthesize lots of information quickly you’ll be organised and skilled at merging disparate sources of information, assessing opportunities, managing contending priorities across a variety of stakeholders and customers to build a product backlog. In true Virgin style you’ll be collaborative in your approach with the ability to be influential and effective within a fast paced company culture with an awareness of customer trends in the digital space feeding into product decisions.

Day to day

In this exciting Digital Product Manager role, you will:

  • Lead the digital product roadmap to support the end-to-end customer journey, focussing on outcomes.
  • Play a key role in influencing our digital product strategy, understanding our broader company and journey strategies and how digital can enable and have the biggest impact on revenue, engagement and NPS.
  • You will manage a team of product owners who work within cross functional agile delivery teams, ensuring we are raising the bar with our product ways of working.
  • Establish best in class digital products, practices, and processes for Virgin Atlantic - putting the customer at the heart of practices.
  • Establish and develop the product owner community beyond the direct report team – cross functional working is critical to our success

In this role you will need to have a forensic understanding of customer and data insight, the ability to shape, define and deliver a product from scratch - and influence stakeholders to get buy in to deliver a best in class digital product. You’ll use cross-team matrix working to develop and deliver business requirements, journey optimisation and experience improvements, and use Agile delivery methods and industry-standard tools to identify improvements and opportunities and then measure the outcomes and benefits

About you

Required experience:

- Excellent digital/technology experience as a Digital Product Manager or related role such as a Digital Content Manager, Website Manager or eCommerce Manager

- You are a compelling storyteller with experience communicating concepts and ideas to engineers and creatives and business colleagues alike.

- You have good instincts but match that with deep analytical thinking to focus on the things that matter most, especially with expertise in large amounts of data.

- You have a proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organisation, and in a variety of contexts.

- Working in cross-functional teams and matrix working to build, shape, optimise and deliver digital products

- Agile delivery methods and confident in running ceremonies

- Experience in fast paced environment (Retail desirable)

- Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to easily form effective cross-team working relationships

- Experience managing a digital product team
