If you answered ‘Yes’, we would be pleased to offer you a real opportunity to be involved in digital forensics and online criminal investigations. The successful candidate will play a vital role, working alongside likeminded colleagues in support of regional and national trading standards investigations in such areas as fraud, money laundering and other crimes causing serious harm to consumers on a national level. Our Team
We are a joint host authority, alongside City of York Council, for the National Trading Standards eCrime Team (NTSeCT). Our specialist Digital Forensics Unit (DFU) supports investigations led by local, regional and national trading standards teams and other law enforcement agencies. The role
We are looking for a Digital Forensics Analyst to join our team working alongside colleagues to provide a high-quality service in support of local, regional and national Trading Standards teams and other law enforcement agencies. You will carry out digital forensic/internet investigations and submit detailed reports where appropriate, and provide advice to officers in the seizure, handling and submission of digital evidence. You will attend and assist in the execution of entry warrants where complex systems are likely to be present, acquiring evidence from stand-alone computers, servers and network devices. You will also give expert evidence, as necessary, in criminal or civil proceedings.
