Job description

Step Teachers are looking for an experienced Design Technology/Art Teacher based in Bury St Edmunds to start in September 2023. This is a long term role with a view to extend depending on performance and discretion of the school.

This school based in Bury St Edmunds has a strong community they have tripled in size since they opened and have their own Art campus on the premises. The school values the intellectual growth of all students and staff. Encouraging them to be creative, engaged, and lifelong learners.

Role:

  • Strong Art/Design Technology curriculum knowledge at KS3 & 4
  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
  • Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable
  • Ability to assess and report on your students when required
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or the equivalent of
  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Art/Design Technology
  • Relevant subject specific degree is desirable
