We have an exciting opportunity to join our Defence Quality Assurance Field Force (DQA-FF) as a Government Quality Assurance Representative. If you are looking to be involved with assuring a variety of high profile and technically complex defence programmes, whilst being supported to develop your skills, then this is the role for you!

You will be working within small teams of MOD Licensed and Chartered Quality Professionals to make significant contributions to the men and women defending this country. These roles are integral in making sure military equipment is capable and safe to operate in line with user agreed and regulatory requirements. The post is located at RAF Coningsby. In this varied role, QA Engineers will conduct surveillance at suppliers throughout the East Midlands. The work is interesting and provides the opportunity to develop your knowledge. You will work across a number of suppliers involved in; aircraft maintenance, submarine supply chain, including work such as component manufacture, explosive and energetic device manufacture as well as a broad range of engineering and manufacturing projects.

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will provide engineering and quality assurance advice. You will be empowered to work with a high degree of autonomy and able to plan your working time, however there will be a requirement for short periods of detached duty in the UK, which will involve overnight stays.

DE&S is passionate about supporting and developing its workforce and this role is no exception; you will be supported and encouraged to develop your specialist knowledge through a structured development program to help you achieve your MOD QA Practitioner Licence and progress towards becoming Chartered Quality Professional. In addition, this role will help you to develop a breadth of skills as outlined by the UK SPEC requirements for IENG.
