Are you an experienced Deputy Hospital Director, Registered Manager, Lead Nurse or equivalent from either the NHS or private sector with a history of success who can lead a medium size and established well-run service?

Bere Clinic provides a CAMHS Tier 4 Eating Disorder service for young people aged 12 up to 18 years with a primary diagnosis of eating disorder: or an eating difficulty with a co-morbid presentation for example mental health or psychological issues, such as depression, OCD or anxiety or self-harm.

You will play a vital role supporting the Hospital Director in the delivery of exceptional quality, person centred care to our service users.

The Deputy Hospital Director Role Will Involve
  • Lead and manage a diverse workforce, ensuring excellent care is delivered and operational performance is maintained
  • Continuing to develop commercial opportunities with purchasers and referrers
  • Ensure quality and financial targets are met, and facilitate the development of quality healthcare services, ensuring that they respond to the changing needs of purchasers and service users, and also reflect market trends and evidence-based practice
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the hospital, ensuring adherence to the hospital’s objectives and business plan
  • Promote and enhance the hospital’s reputation for care and service.
  • Provide strong and robust leadership in the hospital environment.
  • Responsibility for budgetary oversight of the hospital
  • Promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of all patients, employees and visitors.
  • Ensuring site is compliant with all Regulatory guidelines and statutory requirements.
To be a successful Deputy Hospital Director, you will need:
  • An excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector (essential), together with an understanding of mental health issues and a passion for improving clinical quality and patient care.
  • Experience within male forensic secure or male acute mental health inpatient services.
  • Extensive understanding of the Care Quality Commission standards and transforming care
  • Clear DBS
  • Strong commercial acumen, in order to support successful service delivery and development, people management, budget control, business development, and revenue generation.
  • An inclusive and supportive management style balanced with strong leadership, is a critical factor in the success of this role, in order to provide direction and implement change.
  • To be a proactive individual, with excellent administration and clinical skills, who will ensure the team delivers excellent person-centred care, helping each service users or patient enjoy the highest possible standards of life.
