The care and support you provide as an Art Therapist help some of the most vulnerable people to communicate and express themselves as they build a brighter future.Working 18.75 hours a week, you will join Emerald Place Clinic based in Horley, Surrey where you will provide care for children and young people aged 12-18 years old who require residential care, working on tailored treatment programmes designed for the individual needs of each young person.As an Art Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating our young people’s reactions and behaviours during art therapy sessions, which will see you utilise your art and psychotherapeutic skills and techniques to help them improve their physical, cognitive, and emotional wellbeing.You will create one-to-one rapport with service users to discuss their interest and medical histories as you identify their needs, objectives and prefer forms of artistic expression to create innovative art therapy programs.During your art therapy sessions, you will use various types of visual art, including drawing, sculpting, painting, ceramics, and clay modelling.
