The Medical and Emergency Care Division in East Lancashire Hospitals has an opportunity in the Respiratory Directorate for a Deputy Directorate Manager. This role is to support the Directorate Manager for Cardiology and Respiratory, working alongside the Deputy Directorate Manager for Cardiology. You will work closely with the rest of the MEC Management Team, and the Respiratory Team, as well as colleagues throughout the hospitals.

You will provide operational support for respiratory pathways including waiting time management, supporting the delivery of key standards, innovation and high quality care. Together with the Management Team the postholder will assist with the implementation of both short and long term business plans to meet local, regional and national agendas in relation to Respiratory.

Candidates must have a background in service management within the NHS, complex administrative duties and experience in supporting change management projects. Experience in respiratory is an advantage.

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust provides services to our local population of around 600 000 people. We have 2 main hospital sites in Blackburn and Burnley, along with some peripheral community sites.

The Respiratory Directorate comprises 4 inpatient wards, an elective/daycase unit, a Chest Clinic, community teams and diagnostics department.
