An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Appliance Prescription Service to undertake a 12 month fixed term contract /secondment as a Band 6 Nurse Specialist Prescriber.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years post registration experience, experience of community prescribing, and current knowledge of relevant continence and stoma polices and pathways

The post will include working within the community to provide specialist prescribing knowledge and reviews of patient prescriptions for those who require continence and stoma appliances.

The successful candidate will have good communication skills, be conversant with the use of EMIS and work well with professionals from a range of disciplines.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the essential criteria of the person specification in their application for the post, and ideally be able to demonstrate some of the desirable criteria in application and at interview.
