The role of the Programme Assurance Manager is to provide independent assessment and confirmation that the programme and constituent projects are on track, that it is being appropriately managed and that its activities and business rationale remain aligned to the organisation’s objectives. This includes ensuring reviews are scheduled and delivered to enable scrutiny of the achievability of the project to meet its objectives and benefits as stated within the business case.

Defence Digital Programme and Project Management Professionals can benefit from access to a wide range of professional development opportunities subject to business and personal developmental need.

The Head of Function for each Professional Group determines the Continuous Professional Development path for their function as well as approving opportunities across Defence Digital for agile resourcing.

Dependent on the ‘tasking’ and business need, there may be a requirement to travel to meetings within the UK (or potentially involve occasional overseas visits).

This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station which is based on business assessment of where the work is best done) and working from home as a personal choice (if the role is suitable for this). If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post. Currently the team are working in the office 3 days a week.

Travel will occasionally be required to carry out your duties- to suppliers and other MoD sites. Most of the visits will be to sites in southern England but there may be an opportunity for overseas travel in the future.
