Make your mark for patients


To strengthen our Patient Safety & Medical Management function, based in any of our Atlanta /Raleigh (US), Brussels (Belgium), Monheim (Germany) or Slough (UK) offices we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Global Clearance Committee Lead.


As a Global Clearance Committee Lead you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Ensure that promotional, press and educational communications are appropriately reviewed for conformance to meet UCB corporate standards, industry standards and legal requirements

  • Acts as chair of the Global Clearance Committee to ensure appropriate review and approval process and also to manage dispute resolution

  • Liaises with Global Clearance Committee members including QC, Regulatory, Legal and Medical disciplines

  • Surveys, evaluates and interprets requirements and disseminates information and impact of changes in policies to appropriate management

  • Participates in education of departments regarding evolving requirements and enforcement trends

  • Provides metrics on Global Clearance Committee performance, including performance metrics and process deviations. Ensures appropriate escalation and awareness of Global Clearance Committee activities to relevant Department as needed

  • Collaborates with brand leadership and geographies to ensure strategic input to brand and geographies planning, including prioritization of materials for review

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Expert working knowledge of regulations and their implementation and specific experience in the area of advertising and promotion and the ability to support of multiple commercial products is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify emerging issues and initiate actions to recommend solutions, including areas of ambiguity

  • Expert regulatory or compliance and pharmaceutical industry knowledge and proficiency with representing/interpreting the strategic business objectives of the company is critical.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy are required.

  • Managerial experience of cross-functional and/or global teams and/or functional teams and creating suitable and effective work environments is required.

  • Orientation to teamwork, problem-solving ability, customer focus, and a commitment to quality are essential.

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English

  • Experience in the authorship of standard Operative Procedure is an asset. Experience using and improving the configuration of Electronic System tool(s) for online submission, review and approval.

  • Experience in implementing or working with modular content.
