To strengthen our Real World Evidence department, based in either Brussels, Belgium, Slough, UK, Monheim, Germany, or Raleigh, US we are looking for two talented individuals to fill the positions of:Head of RWE Immunology & BoneorHead of RWE Early Solutions.


As heads of RWE Early solutions or RWE Immunology & Bone, you will provide people leadership and ensure development and implementation of the Global RWE strategy respectively within Early Solutions or within the Patient Value Unit Immunology in the space of Immuno-dermatology/Rheumatology/Bone Health, in order to optimize the prioritization of discovery research activities and the development, differentiation, and real-world impact of the UCB portfolio.

  • Be accountable for the development and delivery of the Global RWE Strategic Plan for Early Solutions or for the Patient Value Unit Immunology. Be accountable for optimal RWE resourcing at PVU and Mission level.
  • Be responsible for providing strategic direction for the development and high-quality execution of Global RWE activities within Early Solution / Patient Value Unit Immunology in order to optimize the development, differentiation, and real-world impact of the UCB portfolio, incl. long-term planning of RWE use throughout the drug lifecycle in close collaboration with peer RWE PVU Heads, RWE CoE Data Analytics and the Global Business Liaison.


You will
contributeby:

  • Being a leader within the global RWE organization, providing line management to RWE team members, mentoring and developing them.
  • Championing a culture that promotes strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to enable thoughtful RWE strategy development and timely execution of stage-appropriate RWE plans to guide the PVUs, Missions, and regional/local partners.
  • Fostering digital epidemiology and innovation in close collaboration with the RWE innovation leads.
  • Coordinating the identification and prioritization of RWE needs across Early Solutions or across Patient Value Unit, and maximizes synergies within and with wider UCB.
  • Partnering with RWE Leads, Missions, and cross-functional teams to align strategies and evidence generation plans across therapeutic areas. The Head of RWE Early Solutions will also partner with Discovery Research to 1) help shape the patient value ambition on Early Solutions assets, 2) support RWE Strategy Leads in prioritizing RWE needs; and 3) align strategies and evidence generation plans across the portfolio.
  • Building external networks and strategic partnerships, collaborates with thought leaders and external research partners to develop real-world evidence to inform decisions of HCPs, clinical organizations, reimbursement authorities, and regulatory agencies. Representing UCB RWE in regulatory meetings.
  • Ensuring stage-appropriate and scientifically sound RWE generation methods.


I
nterested? For this position you’ll need the followingeducation, experienceandskills:


  • You hold a Masters degree (ideally a PhD). Epidemiology, HEOR, statistical or medical degrees are favorable, and you have a track record of performing high quality research (i.e. scientific publications; abstracts, posters, full papers in peer-reviewed journals).

  • You have a track record of people and project leadership in pharma or CRO setting. In addition to pharma experience, you have a proven successful track record of impactful use of Real-World Data(primary and secondary data) in partnership with, Regulators, Payers, HTA bodies, and Outcomes Researchers.
  • You have hands-on experience in working across internal stakeholder functions (e.g., medical affairs, market access, clinical development, etc.) to develop the optimal RWE strategy and tactical plan to support an asset within a specific disease area or focus.
  • You have developed a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical business models and cultural drivers, industry trends and best practices, specifically related to epidemiology/outcomes research. You possess a strong knowledge and understanding of applicable regulations in pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilance and clinical development and you developed your expertise in the EU5/US healthcare environment (and changes therein).
  • In addition to your excellent oral/written English, you have proven ability to write/edit scientific communications. You developed a combination of strong methodological quantitative knowledge, strategic thinking and communication skills.
  • You are able to solve scientific and technical questions/problems related to the epidemiology and pharmacovigilance environment, to work in cross-functional / cross-cultural / multinational teams to generate "buy-in" and align stakeholders on decisions while generating enthusiasm for the agreed path forward, and to prioritize among large volumes of diverse projects and activities.
  • You areagile and open minded, enjoy innovative thinking, experience/interest in digitalization.
  • You possess strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills as well as a desire and experience in developing transversal ways of working.
