Data Selections Manager
£40-44,000
Cancer Charity
Hybrid working - 2 days in London office. Flexible hours.
Charity People is delighted to work with this leading and innovative data team, paving the way for how to develop data use and maximise the use of data for the benefit of charity work. You will have the opportunity to work with leaders in their field and learn as required in programs such as FastStats and PeopleStage.
You will have experience with complex data selections as well as some form of seniority such as managing selsctions processes or managing a selsctions team. You will line manage a small selections team but you do not need to have previous line management experience.
There are opportunities for progression and to do meaningful work to help fight cancer.
Key tasks and duties
* To effectively line manage the Senior Database Officer, Selections and Database Officers, Selections, and successfully lead the function
* To support Selection team members to closely following the established selections processes, deliver their day-to-day workload, and execute the marketing selection activities required by the organisation
* To ensure effective planning of team resource for BAU and project work, supported by the Senior Manager, Insight and Selections when necessary
* To set and maintain high standards across the team in ensuring key processes are followed
* To take full ownership the data selections process and develop according to evolving organisational requirements
* To lead the pre-selection process, including reviewing the data selection brief and organising and leading pre-selection meetings
* To drive the design and documentation of existing and new procedures in order to achieve greater efficiency in our use of the database.
* To manage the Data Team Service Desk for the Selections team.
* To own the data selection briefing document and ensure it meets the needs of stakeholders and the Data Team
* When necessary, to support the team in delivering data selections by closely following the established selections processes
* To ensure data within the Unity CRM remains compliant to GDPR standards by working closely with colleagues across the Data Team
* To manage the relationship with QBase on a day-to-day basis
* To build strong relationships with internal teams
* To support the Senior Manager, Insight and Selections as needed
* To actively seek improvements to processes and procedures
Qualifications and Experience
It is essential for you to have the following qualifications and experience:
* Experience of working with marketing data selections using CRMs
* Experience of critically reviewing existing processes and documentation to ensure they remain fit for purpose, and of identifying and plugging gaps where processes revisions or documentation may be required
* Excel knowledge including formulas and data manipulation
It is desirable for you to have the following qualifications and experience:
* Project managing larger pieces of work
* Checking and cleaning data to a high standard
* Understanding of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
* Using FastStats (or equivalent software) to deliver complex data selections
