We are looking for a highly motivated Data Migration Expert to join Aldi on a 23-month fixed term contract. You will be coordinating, communicating, and managing all elements of Data Planning activities in prep for Data Migration, GB and Ireland Pilot and further industrialization.

The successful individual will be responsible for setting up the end-to-end process of Data Migration activities and work closely with the National Data Office (NDO) ensuring high data quality is achieved in steady state. This includes impact and data resource planning activities as part of the deployment programme on behalf of and in collaboration with all Domains. Continual Service Improvement of Data Quality is a must, and the individual should proactively liaise with appropriate Business Data Stewards implemented as part of the NDO setup to achieve this objective.

A role in the Cross Deployment Management Office (CDMO) Team is a great opportunity in helping to deliver the project. You’ll gain valuable experience working on a global transformation project and form relationships with GB/IE colleagues across all Domains and across the ALDI global network of countries. Reporting into one of the CDMO Managers, the candidate will need to collaborate and co-ordinate a variety of people with different skills sets at all levels of the programme (across all Domains).

Your New Role

  • Takes ownership of global data migration plans and supports the adaption and inclusion of local requirements
  • Assists in the management of all data migration activities locally in the country from extraction, data validation, cleansing/correction including local sign-off
  • Holds Central project management and System Integrators accountable for all the project deliverables
  • Contributes to the analysis of master data requirements, integration and performing data mapping activities
  • Supports the co-ordination and alignments with Local and Global data owners, Legacy and other related workstreams being involved in the data migration activities
  • Coordinates delivery of the local data migration work stream in alignment with global plans/timelines
  • First point of contact for data migration/data quality related queries
  • Monitors the migrated data quality and proactively drives the data validation and sign-off activities in country
  • Supports & drives Data Quality activities and encourages ownership within workstreams of Data Quality topics (NDO and Business Data Stewards)
  • Proactively resolves and supports the business with any data migration issues before they become risks

About You

  • Understanding of SAP
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Data analysis experience
  • Legacy systems knowledge (data structures, technical understanding)
  • Experience with data migration
  • Above all, the individual should be able to work independently, upon their own initiative and at a fast pace
  • Previous experience within project management
  • Is open minded, highly self-motivated and is extremely passionate about service-orientation
  • Is flexible and adaptable and who possesses strong change management skills
  • Has excellent presentation, listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Has the ability to build collaborative relationships and influence all around them and at all levels
  • Is able to take significant responsibility with a pragmatic, goal-oriented approach
  • Is technically minded yet has business driven approach
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
