The Data Governance Manager will lead data governance standards, data quality reporting and understanding of the value of good quality data throughout all areas of Arco business.

About the Role:
The Data Governance Manager will define, produce, and utilise formalised data quality reporting and use it to collaborate with data stakeholders to uplift data quality at Arco.

In addition, the successful candidate would be responsible for the day to day leadership of all operational aspects of the Arco data strategy, supporting the documentation of data definitions to ensure that data can be governed, and those definitions adhered to by business data owners.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with demonstrable knowledge of data management and data governance principles with the setting up, implementation and gaining adoption to data governance frameworks.

Responsibilities:
Ensure that the evolution of product and customer data structures/architectures are directly aligned to the commercial goals of the business.
Support the definition of, and then execute enterprise wide product and customer data governance to ensure operational adherence to data standards.
Collaborate with data owners as a data SME and advise on the best way to improve the quality of their data.
Responsible for day to day management of the Data Quality Team including; coaching, performance management and staff development.

Experience Required:
The successful Data Governance Manager must have the following skills and experience:

Operational Experience of leading Master Data Management in a mid to large business (£200m+).
Good understanding of the principles of B2B distribution including customers, systems and processes.
Excellent stakeholder influencing skills, ability to contextualise technical concepts as drivers of commercial performance.
DAMA accreditation or similar, or demonstrable working knowledge of data management and data governance principles and best practice.

This role is Full Time position, working 37.5hrs, Monday to Friday. Our office is based in Hull, we do offer flexible working, with a mixture of Home/Office based. This role would have a requirement to visit the Hull office weekly.
