As the team leader you will assure the Royal Navy Capability Operational Model (RNCOM), which analyses the potential impacts of personnel shortages for the RN’s operational outputs, affecting the Defence tasking of both its surface and sub‑surface Fleets. You will lead and design a functional data model and data hierarchy between systems; making sure data is available to permitted users. Based on the findings of your team, you will suggest improvements for poor quality data so that it can be used in statistical tools as well as using the presented opportunities to tune / improve data analyses; monitoring methodologies and technologies to optimise analytical output. Equally important is the management of any model degradation; ensuring models remain predictive using/developing techniques to monitor consistency in the creation of the models. Alongside this, is the work to resolve data quality issues; collaborating alongside the data owners as required.
