Role Objective
At AbbVie, we’re looking for a Data Engineer to plan, develop, build, test, and maintain the UK Data Model to achieve a high quality and scalable data model that anticipates the business needs, delivers the needs of commercial initiates, and supports our ambition of Winning with Data.
As a Data Engineer, you will be working in a UK local team with an overarching global team and take part in the harmonization of information aligned with the needs of business. You will communicate a vision and strategy for innovative data solutions, engaging with the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee projects from initial engagement and consultant, to end point of data transformation and visualization
- Engaging with a high-performing local team to manage project delivery
- Understanding capability of data modelling and analytics tools
- Working knowledge of PySpark, Palantir software and Python programming language
- Focuses on end user and customer centricity
- Deliver on ratification of requirements against deliverables, and able to keep pace of the market (new trends and ways of working)
- Technical experience and strong development skills - experience using Python, PySpark, SQL, Big Data experience (Palantir preferred)
- Knowledge of data architecture
- Excellent communication skills
