Credit Controller

Telford, in-office

37.5 hours p/w, 8:30am-4:30pm (some flexibility on hours available if necessary)

Permanent

£25,000 - £27,000 dependent upon experience + 37 days holiday (including bank holidays) + Christmas bonus + NEST pension scheme

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and driven Credit Controller to join a rapidly growing/well established organisation.

Our client is a not-for-profit financial institution, whose goal is to give back to the local community by providing ethical finance to those in need. Established for almost 30 years, they serve people who live in the area between Birmingham & the Welsh border.

They’re looking for a Credit Controller with experience across the entire credit control process from start to finish who also has B2C experience to be the new sole credit controller for the organisation. This role will involve all aspects of independent B2C credit control (including having a say on and impacting how the department is run), and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the company, take ownership of the function, and improve the way that things work.

The role

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Improving the credit control processes within the business
  • Managing all aspects of the day-to-day credit control function of the business, including the following:
  • Having full ownership of the loan book and managing own workload day-to-day whilst following procedures & processes
  • Chasing customers for late payments via phone and email
  • Setting up repayment plans
