RG Consultancy are with a medium TO distribution company based near Swinton who are looking for an experienced credit controller, this role is a standalone credit controller position which reports into the financial controller of the business. There is an accounts assistant who support with aspects of credit control, but this will the main person. This is a business-to-business role, dealing with large companies such as supermarkets and retailers, dealing with high volume debt.Duties Include
  • Setting up new accounts
  • Checking customers credit history and approving or denying credit terms
  • Applying for Insurance cover.
  • Ensure all Invoices are logged and received by customer.
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Daily posting of receipts to customer accounts.
  • Excellent customer service
  • Analytical skills and thorough attention to detail
  • Ability to listen and negotiate with customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Persistence and determination.
  • Familiarity with date entry software.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Starting legal proceedings if clients do not pay their debts.
  • Responding to relevant client enquiries.
  • Reconciliation of statements.
  • Send out supplier statements.
  • Raising credit notes upon checking
