You will identify HR solutions to business needs and executive HR strategies in support of overall business objectives. Your key responsibility are all country specific HR tasks, while Recruiting is a separate stream and vertical (e.g. Sales or Research) specific topics are handled by the vertical’s HR Partners.   • Provide local expertise to guide best practices and ensure legal compliance in support of people programs and processes.
  • Lead internal communications for the country, acting as a focal point for people announcements, policies and procedures.
  • Be the associate facing point of contact for queries and issues that are not covered through any standard processes or our COEs (e.g. Benefits, Payroll).
  • Proactively manage legal risk and continually ensure compliance with local labor laws considering the whole life cycle of an associate.
  • Manage the Austrian Works Council relationship.
  • Manage the South Africa BBBEE (Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment) program.
  • Build and maintain effective, credible partnerships to educate HR Partners, managers and associates on a variety of employee related issues.
  • Be a partner for the HR Partner community on associate initiatives.
  • Drive country specific initiatives together with the HR Partner or the COE teams.
  • Work on projects or initiatives for South Africa with the local HR Director.
  • Make sure, all transactional HR tasks are being processed, also in the HRIS Workday.
  • Be backup for other Country HRMs.
What you’ll need: (Job Requirements)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent ideally in Business Administration or Human Resources.
  • 4+ years of HR experience, out of which minimum three in a comparable HR role.
  • Understanding of local culture and legislation in at least one, ideally two of the country/ies.
  • Ability to and interest in adjusting to different cultures.
  • Ability to work and influence in a global matrix organization.
  • Business fluent in English and German.
