A note from Toby (F&B manager): “We are so lucky at Avebury as we had a full refurb of the kitchen right before lockdown. Brand new ovens and all the latest kit. We are now in a position to start building our newly formed kitchen team and delighting our stone circle visitors with a fantastic new, centrally produced menu. Are you looking to develop your skills in the kitchen and work your way up in the chef industry, without having to do long hours, late nights or Christmas? Then Avebury has the right opportunity for you. We are looking for a dynamic person who can help us to bring the National Trust cookbook to life and help us to grow our offer out of our brand new kitchen facilities. In return we will give you all of the training that you need to successfully grow your career within National trust or any other catering business.”
What you’ll be doingYou’ll enjoy preparing food from scratch using fresh/seasonal ingredients and will be confident with creating bakes, making, soups, stews, sausage rolls and preparing & presenting food to order served directly to the customers over busy lunchtime periods.
You won’t be required to work nights, split shifts and will be off on Christmas Day as the property is fully closed to the public.
You’ll receive a bespoke induction on appointment - and further professional training & development opportunities are available.
Interviews: This is an immediate start; interviews will be held by appointment on receiving applications.
