Role Purpose
In our 40th* anniversary year, and as we launch our new three-year strategy, our retail team is excited to embark on an ambitious plan to expand and improve our portfolio.*
To enable new acquisitions and refurbishment of our existing stores we’re recruiting new members to our retail team.
St Giles Hospice provides care and support for local people, and their families, living with a terminal illness.
The Retail estate includes 21 shops and e-commerce operation with a turnover of approx. £3million which supports the overall income generation strategy.
As a Community Shop Manager for St Giles Hospice you will lead a team of paid staff and volunteers. You’ll be empowered to make decisions locally whilst working within a supportive framework. You’ll work within and for your local community ensuring that engagement and support is understood and promoted.
You’ll have great commercial skills, an understanding of why customer service is key and want to be part of a successful team. Ideally you’ll have previous retail management experience, be able to demonstrate strong leadership and have the ability to work with and motivate any team.
Reporting into an Area Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that your store runs efficiently and delivers a positive financial contribution to the Hospice.
