About you…

The successful candidate will:

  • Have excellent knowledge of relevant legislation relating to the management of anti-social behaviour within a housing setting.
  • Have significant experience in a community safety or more complex enforcement role which requires multi-agency working.
  • Be able to use analytical and problem-solving skills to work on own initiative and manage own complex caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Have a good knowledge of safeguarding, victim centred and trauma informed practices and an awareness of adverse childhood experiences and complex needs.
  • Hold a Full UK Driver’s Licence.

What you’ll do…

You’ll be a specialist who supports the business by managing anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse, serious tenancy breaches and hate crime as part of your role. You will be based between the office and off site, and be expected to provide oversight, advice and support to staff engaged in the management of anti-social behaviour cases. You will also maintain a caseload and be responsible for the creation of legal documents, court files and to present cases at court.

What you’ll be responsible for…

  • Managing and resolving high impact and high-profile caseloads relating to anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches such as illegal activity, hate crime and domestic abuse. You will ensure effective and immediate legal action is taken to resolve cases of a serious nature and to safeguard vulnerable victims.
  • Ensuring the continuous provision of high-quality customer service in line with corporate and service plans.
  • Ensuring targets, service standards and performance expectations are met relating to quality of service, customer satisfaction, service response and completion times through robust and high-quality case reviews.
  • Coaching and supporting staff engaged in managing anti-social behaviour and community safety related matters across the business.
  • Utilising a range of evidence gathering methods such as CCTV, professional witnessing and other surveillance and monitoring methods to produce evidence in a format suitable to be used in court to resolve cases.
  • Utilising DIY injunctions and the full range of other civil enforcement tools and powers to stop serious and / or persistent anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches.
  • Developing and maintaining a close, joined up approach with multiple stakeholders, including liaising with the local authority in respect of tenants sustaining and maintaining tenancies and facing eviction due to breach of Tenancy Conditions and undertaking problem solving with a range of external agencies to address local community safety issues.
  • Researching developments in legislation, case law and good practice to help shape excellent working practices.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and staff development through the delivery of training on anti-social behaviour and community safety Taking a victim centred and trauma informed approach to case management including physical target hardening, restorative interventions and signposting to support.
  • Using a proactive range of preventative, supportive and diversionary activities to deter and prevent anti-social behaviour.
  • Ensuring all activities and outcomes comply with data protection policies and practices.
