The role in the Jaguar Land Rover’s Corporate Affairs department is to protect and promote our brand to a range of internal and external stakeholders including our global workforce, media and government. Our role, in the communications team is to anticipate, manage, react to and mitigate against issues that negatively impact the perception of Jaguar Land Rover. As well as proactively create and deliver engaging positive communications from around the business to promote success and awareness.

Jaguar Land Rover will become a more agile creator of the world’s most desirable luxury vehicles and services for the most discerning of customers. Driving Jaguar Land Rover’s Reimagine strategy will be our transformation programme, Refocus.


This role is part of a Transformation Project and is a temporary assignment which is expected to last for up to 12 months. At the end of the project, it is expected that you will move back into a role in your previous area.

The role will support internal transformation and change communications. Working closely with the Transformation Management Office (TMO), as part of the Corporate Affairs team, the role will support the delivery of precise and engaging Refocus and change communications at a corporate and programme level. The role will involve sourcing and creating a consistent flow of compelling content from across the Refocus pillars and projects to bring the broad range of transformation activity underway to life for internal audiences. It will also involve business critical stakeholder engagement, working with colleagues at all levels from across the business to agree activity and consistent and clear messaging.


You will also support the wider Corporate Affairs team with news, campaign and internal communications activities, as a compelling storyteller and content creator.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities


  • Support the Corporate Affairs Manager in the development and delivery of a corporate Refocus internal communications plan.
  • Support the Change Manager with the delivery of a Change Management Approach.
  • Source and deliver engaging stories, written and digital assets for internal communications channels relating to priority transformation and change initiatives at a programme/pillar level.
  • Elevate the wealth of stories and promote key achievements/milestones from within the Refocus programme aligned to the company’s Reimagine strategy.
  • Act as a corporate affairs gatekeeper to ensure consistent and precise messaging across all transformation communications aligned to Reimagine and Refocus.
  • Stakeholder management, influencing and networking across the business but building key relationships with the TMO/Refocus team and attending meetings as required.
  • Work closely with other JLR functions and comms leads as required to help deliver communication objectives and outcomes.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED


  • 5+ years Communications experience (E)
  • Ability to identify good stories from across the business (E)
  • Excellent communication skills – both spoken and written (E)
  • Must be able to produce communications which are relevant and comprehendible for all levels of the company (E)
  • Filming and film editing skills and experience (E)
  • Experience of the production and management of content and/or events, including press release/pack production, photo/film shoots/briefs/storyboards as required (E)
  • Commercially astute – used to working in a business environment (E)
  • Able to negotiate and influence across the organisation (E)
  • Knowledge of key communications and engagement practices – both tactical and strategic (E)
  • Experienced in events management (E)
