Commercial Rates Manager - Altrincham

Salary:Negotiable

City and County Healthcare Group is one of the largest providers of community-based social care services in the UK. Every day, tens of thousands of people with care needs are supported to continue living independently at home by our operating companies. To support the great work, we do we are looking for a Commercial Rates Manager to join us in our Altrincham office. The successful candidate, will ideally have domiciliary care experience, be able to work independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day to day responsibility of managing the Rates team, reporting into the Head of Rates & Specialist Invoicing. Which will include conducting 1:1’s, PDR reviews and any other development/training requirements where needed
  • Responsible for supporting the Senior Management Team in overseeing all aspects of the Rates function
  • To review and challenge the current processes to increase efficiencies and controls within the team
  • Excellent Customer Service
  • To interface and communicate with internal (Operations, Finance Shared Service Centre, IT and Payroll) and external stakeholders (Local Authorities and CCG’s) to ensure that all parties work collaboratively to deliver optimal service for the group
  • To understand contractual requirements and ensure translation of these to implement requirements onto the Companies billing and payment systems
  • Proactively resolve issues and queries
  • Ensure all relevant procedures are created for all areas of responsibility
  • Create / maintain the invoicing and pay rates databases
  • To ensure compliance with NLW and other legislative requirements
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting as and when requested by management
  • Ensure compliance with the Company approval process whilst retaining current gross margin levels
  • Any other ad-hoc duties required by management

  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Significant experience of working within a Finance team
  • Good IT Skills, ideally at advanced Excel level
