For the position of Clinical Finance & Business Manager, we are seeking an experienced finance professional, CCAB qualified with a minimum of 2 years working at a senior level, to support the Trust in delivering its challenging agenda.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Management, you will provide financial management knowledge and information to Divisions and to the Trust as a whole, to assist in the production of timely, accurate and relevant information for the completion of the monthly board reports.

The role will require the successful applicant to be able to work as part of a team and independently as required.

The candidate should possess excellent communication skills. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) is also a requirement for the post.

To provide expert business and financial management knowledge and information to a Clinical Division and to the Trust as a whole. Assessing risk and alignment to overall Trust objectives to ensure long term financial viability.

To develop financial knowledge and awareness within the Division ensuring long term financial stability and viability. To identify the training needs of Division staff and to deliver as appropriate.

The post-holder will be an integral part of the Divisions Team working closely with clinicians, managers, and other budget holders, performing a key role in the success and development of the Divisions, communicating effectively at all levels.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large District General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital.

The Trust provides services in all of the surgical and medical specialties common to a District General Hospital with some specialist services. The Trust serves the whole of the local population currently in excess of 250,000 residents which geographically covers populations in England and North Wales.
