Job Overview

To provide comprehensive efficient clerical and administrative support, to the clinical multi-disciplinary teams within Dudley Rehabilitation Service (DRS). The post holder will be required to obtain information from Health Care Professionals and patients to ensure that high quality care is provided. The post holder is required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving on the high standard of care within The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

This post provides essential support to DRS clinicians, it provides vital admin to DRS clinical triage - DRS receives over 500 referrals per month for 5 contracts. This post also ’mans’ the patient facing phone line for patients and referrers to call regarding treatment, appointments and other service related enquiries. This staff member supports the data admin to input contacts on OASIS, book appointments, send letters to patients as required and file clinical notes.

  • Good accurate written skills
  • Able to work as part of a team, using your own initiative, organising and prioritise own and other workloads to changing and often tight deadlines
  • Computer literate with the ability to work in different computer applications
Qualifications

  • IT qualification – ECDL, RSAII
  • NVQ Business Administration/Customer Care NVQ2 or equivalent experience
Experience

  • Proven clerical/administrative experience
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience working in the NHS/Healthcare environment
