Candidates are required to upload a CV and covering letter.We are recruiting for 5 Cleaners - 14 hours per week and 12 hours per week.The post of Cleaner is a critical role in the Infrastructure Services Directorate, providing a frontline customer facing service across an estate which is circa 250,000m 2 consisting of 107 buildings with an annual operational turnover of £23m.It is an exciting time for the team, as we drive improvements in compliance, efficiency, customer service and performance as well as creating the opportunity to gain competitive advantages through our activityunderpinned by a significant investment in the Estate in conjunction with a full modernisation programme across the team’s systems and processes.Reporting to the Senior Facilities Supervisor, Cleaners will be part of a team delivering basic service provision. The postholder will be familiar with and understand effective working procedures across a range of cleaning activities with relevant training provided as required.Specifically, the postholder will:
  • Carry out daily, weekly and deep cleaning operations in teaching rooms, communal spaces, toilet facilities, meeting and function rooms thus providing good customer care
  • Support the cleaning provision in our on campus residences
  • Help to ensure efficiency of service
  • Ensure adherence to health & safety guidelines
  • Provide cleaning and waste management services and working as part of a team
Exemplary team working is critical to this role as is the ability to communicate with a wide range of staff, students and stakeholders.
