Claims Team Leader

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead one of our Property Claims teams from our Regional Service Centre in York.

Our Property Claims teams handle a variety of our customer’s claims from first notification through to settlement. Providing an exceptional service to our members is a key focus for us whilst also ensuring fair outcomes on claims and effective cost control.

As a Team Leader, you will be required to manage your team, ensuring they are motivated and coached to achieve their set targets and objectives to meet service levels. Where areas are identified for development you will manage their training and development to ensure they are able to develop their skills.

You will spend some of your time planning with other people managers on a weekly, monthly and annual basis to provide an efficient and timely service for the Region.

You will also manage the team through any change and ensure implementation of procedural and process changes are made where needed. In addition, you may be required to deputise for the Department Manager on occasion.

In order to fulfil this role effectively, you will have recent experience of operationally managing a team within Financial Services as well as a ’can do’ attitude with the ability and experience of influencing and implementing change.

Your proven people management skills will show that you are adept at motivating staff and driving performance through well-developed communication and coaching skills with the commitment to training and development.

You will also need to show a high level of personal and team organisation and a commitment to continuous improvement of productivity, quality and efficiency, leading to improved service for our customers.
