Key FocusThe primary objective of this role is to design, build, accept and maintain FTTH, FTTX, ODN and Backhaul segments, and to supervise the activities of contractors and construction team employees.This Role Will Report ToSenior SupervisorJob DescriptionKey duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Management of contractors engaged to perform OSP work; including Quality Acceptance to ensure that the deployed networks meet Jurassic Fibre expectations and standards
  • Undertaking site surveys and field visits as required
  • In absence of the Senior Supervisor, managing the day to day management of the Gully Sucking Team and Civil Avoidance Team and support the Gully Sucking Team Leads
  • Ensure compliance of the Gully Sucking Wagon
  • In absence of the Senior Supervisor, ensure the overtime requirements are managed and signed off by the Civil Avoidance and On Demand Manager prior to authorising overtime
  • Ensure the team are working within the Working Time Directive
  • Integration of the OSP network into a GIS platform, creating network documentation procedures and defining best practices for managing a fibre optic plant
  • Training and mentoring, including on-the-job training and presentations for/ to colleagues

  • Civil avoidance activity’s to be carried out to avoid unnecessary civil activities whilst provide new proposed solutions.
  • Any associated ad hoc duties requested in line with business needs
Person SpecQualifications/Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years’ construction experience within the Telecoms sector
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • NRSWA Unit 2 Operatives
  • CSCS Card
  • Full valid driving licence
