Role: CIB Operational Resilience - Realising Value Lead (Vice President (604) - Bournemouth)

Job description: The role will require the individual to join an existing Operational Resilience Change Program to run one of the four strategic program pillars focused on realizing the value of operational resilience for the CIB. This will require close collaboration across the CIB lines of business as well as corporate functions including Firmwide Business Resilience and Compliance.

Summary of Responsibilities: The increasing focus on Operational Resilience is reflected in requests from our clients and external partners to better understand the CIB’s resilience position. Building on the strength of the firm’s operational resilience framework and the implementation of the first phase of the UK Operational Resilience regulations, the role holder will be responsible for the uplift in the quality and standardisation of the resilience information we provide; the development and maintenance of a central portal to service business demands; and for engagement with business partners to set them up for success in client engagements.

Additionally, the role will take on the lead for developing and executing our external communication and engagement approach to ensure we present the CIB as a thought leader across the industry and, where appropriate, with our regulators.

Finally, the role will lead on examining other ways in which the CIB can use its approach to operational resilience to add value to the firm. This will require the holder to think laterally and to be prepared to drive debate and change across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working with business partners to build a consistent, comprehensive and accessible set of evergreen operational resilience data to support client engagement
  • Create and maintain a central portal for client resilience focused information
  • Be prepared to conduct specific engagement with business partners to educate on our operational resilience approach and status ahead of client engagements
  • Develop and execute a communication plan to accurately and positively reflect the CIB’s resilience positon
  • Communicate and escalate appropriately with stakeholder.
  • Build strong partnership with Business/ Operations partners, Technology and Compliance.

Experience Required
  • Experience in an investment banking Regulatory, Compliance or Operational team is desirable
  • Experience in a client-facing environment is desirable

  • Demonstrated leadership and ability over process and control, both over established and required enhancements
  • Attested track record of working to deadlines, with accountability and responsibility for independent workload
