We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and dedicated Band 7 Scrub Nurse/ODPto lead the West Wing Children’s Operating TheatresWe are keen to hear from candidates who have experience of working in Children’s theatres, although this is not essential.The successful candidate will be based at the West Wing Operating theatres, which comprises of 14 theatres and 8 associated satellite sites. The 3 dedicated Children’s theatres care for Neonates to adolescents undergoing General surgery, Urology, Oncology and Orthopedic surgery. Children’s surgery is also undertaken within all other specialties.Any prospective applicants will require a minimum of 5 years’ operating theatre experience and must be clinically excellent. You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities, which includes leading a team to a shared vision and being able to promote innovation and sustainability. You will be required to work collaboratively and flexibly across the NOTSSCaN theatre suites to accommodate the service demands of each department.The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country and enjoys a national reputation for the quality of its services in healthcare. The Trust is comprised of four hospitals - John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre (all situated in Headington, Oxford) and the Horton Hospital in Banbury.The John Radcliffe West Wing and Main theatres provide expertise and excellence in elective and emergency surgery including adult and care of the child. West Wing Specialties include ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Neuro, Paediatric Ortho /General and Max Fax’s surgery. Main theatre specialties include Major Trauma surgery, Spinal surgery, Vascular and acute general surgical emergencies. The operating theatres offer a wide range of general and specialist clinical services with links to the Oxford Universities for education, training, and research.
