Here at Hampton’s we are working in close partnership with a well-established and innovative care provider who are on the lookout for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to oversee their ’Good’ rated home for young people based in Taunton, Somerset.   • Be the responsible person for the management of the home’s budgets within agreed limits and for the maintenance, monitoring and oversight of all financial records within the home
  • To set, monitor and evaluate standards within the home to meet company requirements and to meet the highest standards to obtain and maintain an Outstanding OFSTED rating
  • Review the developmental needs of staff and keep yourself informed of current issues and be alert to the organisation’s training programme and policies
  • Create individual care plans for the people they support and make sure these are implemented and revised as necessary including assessments of the developmental needs of the young person
  • To ensure, within the resources available to the home, that resident children and young people receive a high standard of physical and emotional care
Skills And Experience
  • Within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children with at least 1 year in a supervision and management of staff working in a care role
  • Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
  • Works well under pressure; lead by example to work under respective conditions and to come out with the best possible outcome
  • Valid UK driving licence
