Job OverviewSFT, along with YDH, are seeking an exceptional collaborative, strategic leader to join us as our Chief Operating Information Officer (COIO), as we embark on the next phase of our digital transformation journey across acute, community and mental health services in Somerset.We are currently developing our plans and business case for the merger of SFT and YDH (planned for April 2023) within which digital plays a major part in the delivery of our clinical strategy and transformation programme.We have an exciting digital vision approved by the Trust Boards which includes the development of the business case, procurement, and implementation of a new electronic health record, spanning the range of services provided by the Trusts.Working as part of the multidisciplinary Digital Services team, you will work collaboratively with the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) and Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO), and wider digital team, as we progress with our ambitious strategic digital plans.The COIO will foster effective working relationships with Operational Services to embed digital transformation within our operating models, supported by our Chief Operating Officers (COOs).We are looking for an individual who is driven, ambitious and passionate about transforming patient care through the use of digital and data, and who has a desire to influence at the highest levels, as part of a multidisciplinary leadership team.Main duties of the jobThe COIO role is a collaborative, strategic leadership role within Digital Services and a core member of the operational leadership within the Trust.
