Chef de Partie, Multi Awarded Hotel, Salary between £23,000 & £25,000 p.a. Overtime pay, Burton Bradstock Chefshare is looking to recruit a strong and competent Chef de Partie to join the team in our clients multi award winning hotel and restaurant. This small hotel has 9 Rooms for guest to stay, a large restaurant which can cater for up 60 covers where the A La Cart menu is served and a small bistro for lighter meals as well as the outside terrace with a further 60 covers. The hotel is extensively used for wedding parties, which boosts trade in the offseason. Furthermore, the business was successful in being awarded in the Michelin guide as well as other local awards. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients and be capable and confident within the kitchen coupled with the ambition to learn new skills . It is also integral that the successful candidate is a team player having a passion for the industry and their work. The successful Chef that takes on this role will have previous experience in similar role, as you will be working closely with the sous chef as well as head chef to assist in continuing to create sensational dishes for their A la Carte menu along with specials menu. Furthermore, you will be responsible for every day duties will include stock control and ordering, menu planning, COSHH and ensuring that the highest possible levels of service are achieved at all times. Forward thinking. Have a passion for creativity. Your role as Chef de Partie Organising yourself & your section efficiently. Working as part of a team & independently. Planning out Mis en Place. Completing all tasks in a timely manner. To assist with the daily deliveries, storage and preparation of ingredients To run a section through service under the guidance of a senior chef To aid in achieving food cost, kitchen standards and overall objectives. To carry out daily and weekly procedures, including temperature checks, food labelling/dating and storage. To assist on other sections or help with other duties when the kitchen is short staffed, in emergencies, and/or when number of covers require. To be punctual for work and report directly to the Head Chef on duty on arrival in the kitchen and to keep high standards of personal hygiene at all times. To keep high standards of cleanliness on section where employed, also to assist in any job regarding hygiene or cleanliness asked for by a senior chef. To be familiar with the opening and closing procedures of the kitchen and to be fully aware of all Health & Safety procedures, hygiene control and chemicals used in the workplace. Details Start date immediately. Salary between £23,000 & £25,000 p.a. A share of the tips. 45 hours per week. Full time. Working 5 days out of 7. 28 days holiday per annum. 1–2 Years’ experience required. Government pension scheme.
