Catering Training manager-40 hours per week contract with flexible start and finish times depending on needs of the business.

Based at HMP Parc Prison in Bridgend.

Due to the nature of the vetting process, vetting can take 6 weeks to 3 months to complete, candidate must undertake a full DBS check, and no criminal offences.

The Catering training manager will be in charge of staff dining and two visits halls.

They will ensure all training is carried out by the teachers Aramark have on site and well endeavour to ensure best practice.

The training manager duties also include the following:

· Identify learners for NVQ and allocate to a teacher

· Enroll learners on the Learning & Skills Hub (NVQ & Highfield)

· Monthly KPI’s on the Learning & Skills Hub

· Monthly Training Stats Aramark spreadsheet

· Claim NVQ Certificates

· Coordinate wing servery training

· Deliver Food Safety training to prisoners working within catering areas and

· wing servery workers

· Deliver Allergen training to prisoners working within catering areas and wing servery workers

· Ensure all prisoners working for aramark have been inducted into their work area

· Train staff on the induction process

· Keep all induction and training matrix up to date

· Planning NVQ training in accordance with the programme.

· Instruct prisoners in Health and Hygiene

· Train prisoners and staff in the use of all kitchen equipment

· Keeping up to date records of Prisoner and Staff .

· Assist where necessary in food preparation.

· Complete Monthly safety checks for all areas

· Coordinate training of wing servery workers in health and Hygiene

· Discuss new ideas with Manager.

· Identify any further training needs for all staff and action as appropriate.

· Follow company or component policy in dealing with customer comments or complaints

· Comply with Health & Safety Regulations, Fire policy and report hazards to management

· Participate in recruitment, selection, disciplinary and other staffing matters in line with company policy.

· Carry out any other reasonable instruction of the Manager.

Preferable but not necessary qualifications:

· Teaching Assessing and Quality Assurance Level 3

· Internal Quality Assurance

· PTTLS (Preparing To Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)

· Food Safety Level 3
